My roommates moved in last October, 2014 and due to a change of plans one of them sought out a sub-leaser with the goal of not hindering her friends with too much rent, they are young Korean UCI students. In January we meaning the roommate leaving and I made an agreement on a contract that I would take care of the rent til the end of the lease in October 2015.

It was our understanding that the leasing office knew this. 6 months later we received a 3 day fix or quit on the door for unnamed occupant, so, I went and produced my sub-lease they made a copy and my Driver's license with this address on it, and filled out the paperwork but did not give permission to run my credit or anything of that nature with only 3 months on the lease left and no problems thus far and all 3 of them are still on the master lease there is no lawful reason to do so. I do not want to be a victim of Identity theft. July 11th we were under the impression the issue was remedied.

July 31st we were blocked from paying the rent online says to come to the leasing office. We go and we were told that subletting is illegal here. That floored me plus she said this ;not showed us in writing. Also not til today did my roommates get an unlawful detainer in the morning before rent is past due.

Telling me that unless I give them my social security # I have to leave immediately. So, I had the office staff served with a CEASE AND DESIST ORDER! We will see how it goes. They do not have any kind of case unless it is us pressing criminal charges.

This is Tuscana in Irvine CA Jessica Engle is the Community Administrator and Stephany Graff not sure what she is accept ignorant of very simple laws in which she tries to deprive us of our unalienable rights that are Constitutionally protects and thinks their policies supersede them. Well, ignorance is not always bliss now is it because being ignorant of the law does not make it to where it goes away.

Reason of review: Criminally negligent deprives rights.

Monetary Loss: $6000.

Preferred solution: Cease and Desist from coming after us with reckless abandon for illegal reasons, we are due a written apology and to be left alone and in peace til the end of our lease on October 25th 2015.

Equity Residential Cons: Being bullied by people that are to serve me, Guest parking is a joke.
